PRAY
Prayer points
Pray for safety and protection of life, first over people then over property. Quite a few Epicentre members (primarily Pasadena, but also some West LA) have had to flee their homes. There have been over 1,500 homes and structures lost in the Pasadena area.
Pray for wisdom for city leaders, fire and police and sufficient capacity for firefighting.
Pray for miracles, for cessation of winds and strengthening of the water systems.
Pray for church mobilization, both for Epicentre to be able to provide care for their members and for the city, and pray that the broader Church in would be unified and rise up and be mobilized in this hour. Pray for strength and wisdom for church leaders to be people of shalom, generosity and presence.
Pray for salvations, that a harvest of people would find Jesus in the midst of devastating loss and pain.

GO
As the Epicentre community & Antioch SoCal churches, we want to follow the Spirit’s leading to meet both peoples’ practical and spiritual needs. We know during a crisis, Jesus is the one who can give us lasting hope, and we want to proactively bring this hope through our actions and words.
There are three main ways Epicentre would like to bless the Pasadena area, detailed below. Note that things are constantly in flux, so we appreciate you embracing grace & flexibility if there are changes.

This volunteer opportunity is for Epicentre Pasadena and our Antioch regional churches. Volunteers can be age 10 years+ for the eye clinic.
Epicentre Church is partnering with Power of Sight, Acts of Mercy, and Medical Mission Adventures to run eye clinics from Jan. 16th-19th, and likely more. Many fire victims lost or broke their glasses, so Power of Sight is an amazing ministry that makes custom eye glasses right on site, while providing care and prayer. We are looking for a prayer & kids team show Jesus’ love.
Volunteer Roles
Prayer Ministers: sit with patients while they wait for their glasses to be made, listen to and pray for them.
Kids Ministry Team: groups of 2 or more who can hang out and play with kids whose parents are receiving glasses.
-
Volunteer with the Dena Relief Drive from Tues. Jan 14th - Sat. 18th, from 10am - 6 pm.
Desired Items from Pasadena Church: bottled water, body wipes, hand sanitizer and masks.
Drop off: 425 Sierra Madre Villa Ave. in Pasadena.
-
Love Pasadena Teams - Jan. 11th, 2-5 pm
Vision: We want to bless Pasadena residents, particularly who were in the evacuation zones. This is an opportunity to take care of practical needs and love our neighbors by going out to them. Prayer Walking
Prayer Outreach
Check-Point Ministry

Update: This opportuntiy currently only extends through Saturday and is filled, except for medical professional positions.
There are 1500+ evacuated people at the Convention Center. The next 48 hours are critical - we’d love to show Jesus’ love and care to people as soon as possible. We invite anyone to join our team to pray with and comfort folks. You can learn more here: Learn More > The main roles are: 1) manning our fruit station, 2) playing with kids, and 3) offering prayer and comfort.
